have you got job yet or were you gonna move and then hunt for one? the problem with canadian system is if you lack "canadian" experience sometime they will overlook you. ie your qualification won't be approved. you have to redo the apprenticeship or something, which is ridiculous. or just challenge the exam, which means you need to have all your hours and documentation from oz land. power is 120V 60hz for typical resi stuffss/inside of bldg, commerical most likely either 600v 3ph or 208-230V.
it's bloody cold in edmonton, why are you moving? the car selection sucks here and the winter is hard and long. I would think oz land would be better to live .....
