    Trane CVHE

I am trying to find a set of contacts or somewere to pick up run status on 1985 CVHE025F-AG-2EB with standard starter. And having problems finding the wiring diagrams. Can any one assist with this!!!

I am thinking of putting a rib on the same wires to the system light and when that lights is activated it will make the contacts of that rib that being status. Is this a good assumption???

Lets go further in this manula on page 9 it references a 0 to 8.5 vdc signal in parellel with the capacity board for remote demand limitiing but there is no explaination of the 0 to 8.5 vdc signal and what the variables are.

Also on page 16 it references an option board for water temp reset but no details, like the part number of this option module or location of it etc

    Can anyone assist here.

I plan on connecting this up to the chiller this comming Wednesday...

    Thanks

Unfortunately berg, I looked at several manuals(those I posted with the most info) and none explained why or what the voltage signal was

The only IGV position status input to panel on this vintage chiller is an end limit switch to verify IGV is closed prior to starting. So, short answer is "nope".

Berg, my previous post may or may not be correct. What style control panel is on this chiller? Is it what Trane calls "Classic", does it have several indicating lights lined up vertically with individual reset switches next to the ones associated with the safeties? This is what I was thinking, due to your mention of "system light". I want to clarify, because I'm unsure of exactly when the next panel came out. I thought it was '87 or so, but one of the docs that Joey provided is dated '85 and shows the next gen panel - called UCP695, but commonly called UCP1. It had a blue LCD display, where codes had to be translated with an attached decal.

The doc titled "CVHE-M-3" is dated Feb 1986 and covers the UCP695 (aka UCP1) panel. It is the doc I was talking about. If yours is "Classic", I don't recall coming across one using remote demand limiting or even remote chilled water reset, so I can't help there. Yet, but I'll see what I can find.

Berg, you and your customer should know that both these panels are considered by Trane to be obsolete, and certain parts in each are no longer being manufactured. Once existing stock of these parts is sold out (may have already occurred?), only used, "hoarded", or locally rebuilt parts will be available. And Trane is not supporting any of those. Trane is recommending upgrading affected chillers to the current Trane "Adaptiview" panel.
