am tired of nailing up panning. has anybody had real good success with a electric stapler?

Never used an electric one. Air staplers work great though. If you don't want to deal with cords or an air compressor, Paslode cordless nailers and staplers are great tools.
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

Just curious what kinda panning you are using? If you're going with metal, I can see the need for this... but it could be way overkill for the cardboard crap lol.
I'm pretty sure DeWalt has a cordless stapler/nailer.
