You are right, 50 minutes is rather short.
EXCEPT in 'the winter'.

Dang machine doesn't work nearly as much as I do.!..!!

Summer in FL .. run time is 11 AM to about 7 pm.

Service it regularly .. then one can get > 15 years out of an inexpensive Armstrong unit like mine.
