ICP they used to cheap out and use smart(dumb) valves. Oh I know about plumbing, Do you need a lead pan made or roof collars?

Most of the problems with those so called Smart Valves were that the printed circuit board would separate from the contacts under it. If you tightly wrapped electrical tape around the entire valve, pressing that circuit board back down to the valve body, it usually takes care of the issue.

Lead pan...roof collars? What are they?

Survey says......8 to 3 in favor of ICP brands. Looks like Carrier is beating out Lennox.

Anyone know if R.E. Michels dropped the Allied brands across the board, or is that only in certain areas?

Still in their 2013 catalog. Lost it in our area as another distributor took on Ducane. Since said other distributor had Armstrong, Allied took Ducane from REM. However in another part of the state, REM has Air Ease and that didn't change. Michel's Airtemp (Nordyne) prices are so good, other than tie to Lennox, might be harder to sell Ducane.
