Anybody try using the 'new fangled' silicon nitride design? They say these are very durable...and now there are full 120VAC versions which operate with a standard ignition board. Just wondering if these are worth the extra dough.

    Milk man.....

Is your experience with the round silicon nitride or flat silicon nitride? Flat is more expensive, but I have been told it is a beast!! I like the idea of of opening the box and not finding a busted igniter.

used plenty of the flat stick units, seem to be very durable. Not the money maker the old round units were LOL

The thing I used came on a blue card with several mounting bracket combinations. It was round.

Put a whole bunch of 'em on a lot of old Arcoaires I have in the field.

Transformer comes wit them to regulate voltage.

I robbed myself of repeat work of HSI burn-outs, but at least I made my customers happy. Ended up being able to sell a bunch of them add-ons like humidifiers and media filters.

    Go figure.
