Honeywell XL80/100
I have a customer who has asked me to look at his control system. I am primarily a Delta tech. What he has is a Honeywell XL80 system.
Does this require a propriatary software to configure? It seems to me that the IP that the OAT sensor is tied into is bad. My 20Kohm sensor checks out alright but is way off on the controller.
What I am looking to be able to do is move the sensor from IP 5 to IP6 to see if it reads properly.
Does anyone have any info on these?Follow me @blankscole

It requires Honeywell's CARE software.

Is this a licensed software or open?

CARE software is proprietary. If you did have the software you would also need the project backup file to be able to re-assign the input to a different terminal. That file would have a name that would identify the equipment or plant and would have a file extension of " .pjt " You would have to have it on disc and do a project restore in CARE.

Oh ok. So it works a lot like LON. We definatly don't have the file or the software so I guess its time to call Honeywell. Or tear it out and put in a Delta controller.
