Maybe I am. Seems you're the only one that feels that way. Testing flame sensors is hvac101. You should have learned it in school. If not ask for a refund.

You're checking for microamps. If your meter doesn't have a microamp setting you are SOL

ok thank you now we getting some where micro amps ,i think my meter doesnt check for micro amps but like you hvac101 ,can i wrap the wire around the jaws and divide and get a micro amp reading

No. Microamps are checked in series with the sensor. You need the proper meter.

oh yes you are right direct current right i would have 2 place the meter in series with the flame censor circuit and get the amp reading this way . so you telling me i need a special meter to do this i paid 200 for my meter it should do this function so what meter i need then.

I maybe wrong , but I do not think there is a industry standard for ratings in microamps a flame rod should be putting out. One unit maybe different from the other. If the manufacturer had some information on the required output from flame sensor then measure it and if out of range replace it.

ground for flame censor
should this ground be located on the burners connected all the way back to the groud going to the main power coming in the unit . let me know
