Is that as bad as running a 2" screw into an entrance cable buried beneth vinyl siding?
This is what happens when a rookie (or any) tech shoots a screw through the black wire leading to the 80V ignitor on an Intellignition board. An expensive lesson
Is that as bad as running a 2" screw into an entrance cable buried beneth vinyl siding?
Or as bad as an electrician mounting his disco to the condensor coil?
Ouch ,
At first glance ,I thought this was titled watch your wives
A little crazy glue and it will be fine!!!

That's better than an apprentice shooting a 5/16 self tapper into a hot water reheat coil U-bend in a VAV box on the 13th floor of a hospital lab complex, on a Friday, with a plumber that never pressure tested the lines and turned the water on and left....

"Better tell the sandman to stay away, because we're gonna be workin on this one all night."
"Dude, you need more than 2 wires to a condenser to run a 2 stage heatpump."
"Just get it done son."
Dad adjusted
No, that was me as a second year sheetmetal apprentice in NY. That was my "biggest mistake" ever. It cost an untold amount of insurance money.
That water leaked from Friday afternoon until Monday morning, down 13 floors, through doctors labs, ruining god knows how much lab equipment, computers, and experiments.
It was one hell of an eye opening experience.

He nailed it!!! oh I mean he screwed it...
A helper for my coworker was screwing a piece of Sheetrock back into place. Needless to say, when the tech came back the helper was sitting there with a screw in his finger. Til this day, the tech can't figure out how it happened.
wow
I had a call today where the guy was hanging shelves and the screw hit something hard and would not go through, so he went and got a drill, yep you guessed it GASLINE, the funny part is that he was complaining at why they would strap something right next to a stud where somebody might want to hang something, I kindly let him know in the nicest way that if he would haven't of missed the stud I wouldn't have been there
I am sure warranty will cover that!!
