    difference between return and supply air

    What shuld be a diffrence between return and supply inheat mode on a heat pump
    Outside temp45
    inide t set to 72
    temp inide 70 aux heat is off
    heat pump is trane 12 year old 10seer 2t size of a home 1200sq

    thx what temp i shuld get on closest registr to furnnenc after 15min of working ????

    With no aux on it should be ~95-105F.

    If its lower than ~90F you probably have a problem with the unit or leaky ductwork

    its around 82-85 ,, diffrent between in and out its 12 duc is ok ?

    Sounds like its either low on refrigerant and/or leaky ductwork. Could be other things as well, have a pro come give it a check up.

    a duch is shor 3 ft at closest registry where checkedtemp what about inide txv pro just replaced txv on outside unit and checked freon?

    The txv on outside is the only one used for heat mode, txv on inside is for ac mode. He may have left a freon leak when the valve was changed. If its not able to keep up at 45F outside it won't have a chance at all of keeping it comfortable when the temp gets lower

    It 46F at my house and my hp is putting out 101F heat with no aux at a register ~35' from unit.

    What was the temperature in the same location under similar conditions a year or two ago?

    What's the temperature with the Aux Heat ON?

    Like jtrammel stated in #3, < ~90'F ( 95'F for me) is definitely an issue.
