Last year I left some equipment in the van that had liquid crystal displays. The next morning one display was cracked, but I don't know if it was caused by the cold or maybe soemthing rolled over on the display and cracked it. Has anyone else had experience with a liquid crystal display freezing and cracking?

Meters, cellphones etc... have lcd displays.... Ive never heard of normal freezing temps like being outside in a vehicle...or outside during winter temps harming them...

Was it just one thing or several ???

Never had any problems before (like that) either. I've had a few go black or react really slow until they warmed up though.

    thanks for the replies.

It was just one display, but I only had one device left outside. I also have five kids, so anything getting damaged by "not me" is not unheard of.

I've broken them, but never had one break from the cold.
