    air handler drain line.

I have an dehumidifier in the room that has a condensate pump to pump out the water can I add an aditional vent after ptrap on primary line to run dehumidifier hose to or will this cause a backup in unit/ pan. This is probably a stupid question but nevver been in this situation. So basically I would have two vents on primary drain line after p trap.

My question is why you would want that? Primary drain getting overfilled?

This should only be done if the ac overflow safety switch turns of both the ac unit and the dehumidifier.

Why would it overflow unless something clogs the line that drain is capable of 10 tons.
