They're expensive, but White's Boots out of Spokane, WA makes a great boot. I had Redwings for years and was tired of always having to resole them every year. They will take a while to get to you, but they fit great out of the box and will take some time to break-in.
Double H. Made in USA.
I just got my Blundstone 990's and I got to say I am verrry pleased. For one the price is right and for another, I've suffered through so many pair of Chinese boots, I had forgotten what a comfortable pair of boots felt like. By the end of the first day wearing them for 11 hours they felt even better. The best part I had them in a week.
I've tried all the major high end boots. I tried Keen 4 years ago and they are probably the only boots I will ever buy again. I can't imagine a better set of boots.
These are what I"m using.
Sneaker comfy, waterproof, best support and comfort I have found so far. And they last me about 1.5 years which is unheard of for me.
I've been reppin' Keen on here for a while now and Arc'teryx outerwear.

I just wish I could force guys I work with to try them. I tell them how good they are, and the next time I see them they've got a new set of Daners or Red Wings.

I rock a pair of wolverines with vibram soles insulated. No complaints, I like the non slip sole because I work mainly in restaurants, plus they don't track in mud or dirt. Here is a link http://www.wolverine.com/US/en-US/Pr...t?dimensions=0
Wolverine does make a good boot. That is what we wore in the steele meel. I got some timberland sandals that lasted about 2 months with light use. IMO timberlands are for rappers not workers.

I have wolverines that I like. Only bad thing is I only got about 7 months out of them and I'm already wearing thru the soles and there not very waterproof anymore. I'll make them last trough the summer and buy new ones for fall/winter. I've thought about red wings but I'm having a hard time coming to terms with spending 250 on boots. I would need 2 good years to make it worth it.

Did you get the ones with the vibram soles? Most comfortable boot I've worn and seem to be holding up well after 10 months.

I'm not sure which soles I didn't really pay attention. I was looking for waterproof and insulated.

The soles will say vibram on the side as well as the bottom of the boot. Check my link, they seem to hold up well to water although never been through anything worse than a puddle. It did get some bad reviews on the water resistance but I haven't had any problem. Great boot IMHO
