You infidel!
Just a thought from a non-tech - wouldn't it have been simpler to sit the unit frontside-back on ground level and connect the ducts from the correct side?

unless this was a replacement unit, with the duct work already existing in the building and this was easier to construct than to rip the duct work apart in the building so that it lined up.

They obviously did this because the original unit was ducted opposite (supply and return). They should have just made a crossover.

Putting it in upside down would have saved a lot of work...

A crossover could have been constructed for that mess. Looks like the salesman screwed up and this was their solution. That looks hideous, it could have been thought out a bit better. I would hate to service that thing since all of the good stuff is on the building side. That just looks lazy! At least they could have painted the duct with a sealant, wait until it starts to rust. The seams aren't even sealed--water infiltration? Wait...my bad...they used foil tape, they are good to go!!!

Its a nice stand. Very well made.

Why not bring the ductwork through the bottom?
Sent from my iPhone with my mind.
I do three kinds of work.
1 - Good - 2 - Fast - 3 - Cheap
Pick two
