are you taking about "TheChillerMan"? I dont know him that well but I can tell you without a single doubt that he doesn't make any mistakes and he finds his own jobs since he was an apprentice two or 3 years ago. You are probably a little bit jealous cause he work on big intimidating 'chillers' and you don't!!!

To OP - Call a Home Warranty company and ask for their contractors who work for them in your area. I'm sure you'll get sent on plenty of "service" calls to "repair" some equipment if you work for them. Hope you got a lot of duct tape!

Its funny you mention that because I'm going to school with a guy who currently works for one of those types of companies. Working for them actually motivated him to go to school in the first place but man are his stories funny as hell. Funny and sad

I remember one time the warranty company I work for (NOT home warranty) had a customer with an Allied heat pump, thing was about 4 years old from what I recall. It was in the middle of the cooling season and all our usual quality repair shops in the area were too busy to take on a new account, so we reluctantly resorted to the phone book. The "tech" that ended up going there said they needed a whole new HP and sent us a quote for like 6-7 grand. We opted for a second opinion once one of our regulars freed up and it was just a TXV which they replaced. Haven't heard any issue with the HO since. The hack got a "service" call out of it.

Maxster, thank you so much! FINALLY!! Someone that answered my question and actually "helped" me without giving me advice on something else, or attacking me.

To most of the people that replied on here that liked to make fun of me you can learn a lot by looking at Maxster's reply. The guy (Maxster) answered my question and stuck to the point without making any derogatory comments, attacking remarks, giving so called "advice" and trying to put me down. It was a simple question that called for a simple answer.

And for that Maxster I "appluad you!" Thank you!

Is that how you fix your repair calls by putting a bandaid on them? Unreal!

You're probably a subscriber to Krazy Glue as well.

Just making a sarcastic comment, don't mind me too much. I'm not a tech but I know ways to move from PM to "service"! Hope you find what you are looking for.
