Nothing, rubberseals in hose do thier job. If anything use red nylog just dont get in hoses. Some here may have better answers. Could call manufacture and see what tech support recommends.

OK, need to attach manifold to gauges, what do you digicool owners use on the threaded fitting ?

I would use the Masters tape that is rated for freon. The same stuff you put on threads in a reefer system if its giving you problems.
Don't quote me on this but thats what i would use.
Tru blue thread sealant or loctite. Both work with freon ect. Its what a few have used with good results.

I didn't use anything either
I just used Teflon tape, but I haven't hooked them up to anything yet.
Nothing on mine as well.

My high side leaked a little under nitro pressure. I used a little nylog and it stopped it. I may not have tightened it enough but now I feel good about it.

A drop of nylog should be more than adequate
ok, thanks
i used nylog the first time which had no leaks under nitro
used yellow gas teflon tape 2nd time which didnt leak either
should the blue or red nylog be used? im having the same issue the ak900 just arrived and my high side is leaking at the manifold connection. i also do refrigeration work which includes cfc hcfc and hfc i dont know if choosing one nylog over the other makes a difference regarding system contamination because they are made with different refrigeration oils.and i really dont want to mess up my new shiny toy

It don't matter which one you use. Be the same as pissing in the Atlantic Ocean as to making any difference.
lol at refferman and thank you for your reply both of u i used the red one and its not leaking at the joint anymore but now i have a new problem. since i just got them like a day ago i was testing them today i put nitro in my middle port with the low side handle at off closed possition. my low side started increasing at .25 psig increments all the way to 50 -60 psig and it kept going while the high side stays stable at 0 psig. this leads me to believe there is an internal leak at the manifold. then whith pressure in middle port i opened the low side handle and the gauge correctly shows 150 psig of nitro. i close the low side valve and now it starts going down at .50 psig increments . i dont know what to say and i dont know if anyone else has that issue. i contacted digicool and left a message to brenda hopefully they call me back because i hagte having to trouble shoot new toys that i was anxciously waiting for. it was a tight choice for me between the testo or digicool and i picked digicool due to the reliability and accuracy. i hope they dont dissapoint me. ill have to wait till brenda or doug get back to me i guess.
mine leaked a bit with nothing on the threads when pressure tested with nitro. Used a bit of teflon tape and haven't had an issue since.
What most are not saying is what manifold they are connecting it to.
Mine is connected to the supplied manifold.
I'm using the stock manifold it came with and I'm having internal leak the leak that I was having connecting to it was alleviated using red nylog I left a second message to digicool and no reply yet...... Most of the people swear by digicool customer service I guess I'll just wait for a reply ad keep u guys updated .... Does anyone have Doug's direct cell by any chance ? ;( I gotto to get this resolved I have 3 refrigeration calls today and I would love to put the digi"s to use
Sounds like the lowside valve needs to be checked. Mine loosend up and was venting out of the seal for some unknown reason. I pulled the knob and put a wrench on it and everything is kosher since.
