Trane Air Handlers
Ok, Trane makes these units right now:
GAM5 - constant torque blower
TAM7 - variable speed blower
TAM8 - variable speed with communicating functions
Now here comes the new one.
TAM9 - variable speed, communicating, COMPLETELY WIRELESS controls. Stick it in the closet, mount the stat on the wall and when you are done with connecting drains, refrigerant lines and incomming 240, you can walk away.Read, read, read!

Just kidding. Don't go suing me for slander etc. It would be something the Trane engineers would think of, something that no one as asked for but they would dump a ton of $ into design and testing.

You know that may not be hard for them at all. Now these days with wireless networking capability and proven technology. It should be very easy. Cisco should get involved with them. They make some of the finest network hardware in the market.
