Ignitor Question
Hello!
Every year I have to clean the flame sensor for my Gas furnace and all is well, unfortunately this season the ignitor isn't even glowing.
I figure It may be cracked , and want to take a multimeter to it to confirm, but am not sure exactly "where" to test. Would I just put it on the positive and negative cables coming from the main board?
thanks!

No DIY coaching allowed on this site. Call a pro out to check the equipment, there are a few things that have to happen before it will allow the igniter to light up.

Gas furnaces are not a place to start practicing with a meter .call a expert to come and repair your furnace and inspect it for safe operation

Very sorry, I will call a tech

No problem, we've just gotta follow the rules. Since you've had to clean the sensor every year you may have an underlying combustion problem. It'd be a good idea to have a tech out to take a looksie. Better safe than sorry. Good luck
