Have a customer with a 25 ton water cooled chiller that wants the high and low pressure switches tested on his refrigeration equipment. The switches are the encapsulated type. I need to confirm the switches work, not just remove wires from the switch. Customer does'nt want me running the discharge pressure up and having the suction pressure drop artificially to trip the switches. Has anyone removed all the refrigerant or added tubing or small valves to isolate the switches to make this test with nitrogen?
I need to do the test every year.
