Should i have just went ahead and changed it ??
Deli case had 2 axial fans on condenser , one was locked up.
I took the little thing apart and cleaned up the bearings really nice , oiled the cotton swabs , they were just dry as a bone , bolted back together , gave the fan a spin with my hand , was smooth as a babys butt , re installed.
I normally just replace them , but didnt have one with me and it was 5 oclock.
Old boss I used to work for always said dont try to save them , they dont last long.
Should I have waited until next morning to install a new axial fan , or you think this one will be fine ....

Hard to say, if it will last or not, I would have done same thing but would go back and replace. If you replace now you get paid. If you leave it and have to replace in 2 weeks you may or may not get paid, for labor anyway.

Sounds like a do what you gotta do moment to me. If it doesn't work then then you will know not to mess with it next time.
