Most of us don't do board level repairs. If we repair the board, we're married to it. Anything happens to the board and the customer complains about it and at best we end up buying the correct board and installing it for free.. Too much potential litigation if furnace burns the house down or people die. Much less headache and liability just getting another board.

We both know, it's only a relay..... Skilled litigators will make night seem like day and a minor repair becomes something deadly. Save a family a few bucks and lose all you've worked hard for. No thanks.
“I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

If your doing this for yourself, I can appreciate your endeavor, but if your doing it for someone else, the liability if something was to catch on fire, would be worth a 10,000 times the board cost or probably more.
