    Lazy!! Precharged lineset and too much trouble to recover cut fit and connect so just hook up, get paid, and leave. Lazy!!

    Does doing that have any effect on the unit operation? One house we work on has one like that:

    Just another place to trap oil that's not the sump of compressor where it needs to be!

    Yeah. Recover, cut, and fit that properly or you will be changing a locked-up compressor.
