I have a Supco. I mostly do residential so it works fine. About 100 clams but you can spend up to 500 or more if you like.

Way I see it, customer with $10k+ motor is going to feel a little more confident in your testing with a quality instrument. Most want pinpoint, reliable readings. Not some beeps and a few LEDs blinking.

Old School MAJOR MEGGER is analog. The needle tells you what's up. Cheaper too, you could buy 2 or 3.

i have a supco as well...m500 i think..
for residential, its the best.
heres why: it literally says good or bad. involve the homeowner, have them push the button...they see if its good or bad for themselves AND if it breaks, they broke it!
