So from time to time, my van was blowing the 10 amp fuse for the brake lights. I went and replaced all the bulbs and a day later, it did it again. So now Im dreading the idea of taking my van into the shop...I am not an auto mechanic and I don't trust hardly anyone to do work except me. When they do, and you get your vehicle back, it always seems like something else goes wrong right away.

Anyway, I thought I would take a look at the brake switch that mounts to the floor pedal. I was moving it about on its post and then I heard the fuse pop. Bingo!

The part is 8.99 at the local auto parts store.

Just thought I would share in case some of you have the same issue in the future with your Ford Econoline vans.
