Trane XR15 vs XL15i
One contractor has bid an XR15, the other has bid the XL15i. Both are bidding XV95 furnaces.
Based on the specs I found on the Trane site, it appears to me that the XR15 must be a little more efficient, based on electrical requirements. It also appears to be the less expensive of the two.
Any comments on which is a better choice?
Thanks.
D.

The XR15 is a BIT more efficient depending on evap coil, but the main advantage of the XL15i is less noise, slightly better construction and a 12 year compressor Registered warranty vs 10 for XR. I would go with XL if its in your budget.
