Majestic dv580rfn failure
Pilot won't stay lit, but will light until the pilot button is released. No 120 to the unit so I have referred to an electrician. I suspect that the valve is bad and am told that the Honeywell valve is no longer made. Why? Question #2 told that the replacement is a Sit valve and all of the components to the burner have to be replaced. Anyoine have experience with this product?

Thermocouple and/or thermopile been checked? Company I work for hasn't worked with Majestic for a long time now, memory is kinda fuzzy, but those have an LED light on them don't they?
Found the manual.

Majestic is long out of business, i would test the thermopile and thermocouple first, even give it a good cleaning then try again.

Majestic is not out of business. See http://majesticproducts.com/.

Majestic is now owned by Monesson Hearth. They have valve conversions available for the Honeywell systems. Any Majestic dealer can get the parts. Or you can contact Monesson and they can direct you. I have done 3 or 4 of these valve conversions in several models freestanding stoves are worse than the builtin or inserts.
