The installation instructions call for a field installed trap, I don't see the problem here....
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

That is a F up code that the drain can't be on a roof. What about rain?
Those drains are so bad he is lucky the RTU didn't flood and have water damage in the office below.
I have seen a RTU running while they where sanding drywall block up the filter and freeze up the RTU and run all Weekend and flood inside the office and cause 10,000$ in damage.
So is that a Real code that it can not be on the roof ?

why not just run the drain over to the gutter?
Somewhere in that building a sink is not draining properly. They'll call a plumber and he'll find that crap drain line and then it will be draining onto the roof.We're awl pawthetic and kweepy and can't get giwrls. That's why we fight wobots.
