Lets put the motor and controls on the side you can't get to

This one is at a local mall. It is 12 feet off the floor and to get the panel off you have to crawl up and undo six screws to get to the motor and controls. The other side is totally accessible with no issues. Just stupid.

You have to love what these guys are allowed to get away with. I had some units several years ago that you had to stand on top of an 8' ladder and pull yourself up onto the pad the a/h was on. and to access the dx9100's you had to stand on the top step of the same ladder, they were just kind of jutting out into space.

You gotta love the installers who conveniently install all-thread just in front of the blower access panel, too. Makes for interesting belt changes. It's really not an issue unless the blower motor takes a dump. Then the cussing really starts!!!

How many 2" filters have you had to 'bend' because the chilled water pipes were directly in front of the filter access doors?
By the way, these installations were all 'inspected' and passed.

I mean, yeah, it's inconvenient, but this isn't even top 20 of what I've run into in a year of controls. At least it isn't butted up to or sitting halfway through the wall.

And to the OSHA comment. I honestly would like to know HTF I'm supposed to get to some of the things I have to get to following OSHA rules. I mean, I really would like to have an OSHA official out on site sometimes just to pose the question. But then I would like them to leave immediately.
