    Outside forced air exhaust

I have a homeowner who has his forced air heater vent running up through the center of his house. He wants me to refirect the exhaust vent outside the house, up the side wall, through the eaves to the proper vent height. Heater is a draft vent type. I have been told I can do this if I enclose and insulate all exterior venting and I have been told I can't. Anybody have a clue

Sounds like an old 60%. By the time you run a double wall flue and box it in, you're about the price of a 95% furnace install.
