If you are referring to the H-talk conventions that we just had here in Bennington VT then the next 3 years have been spoken for. '07 is in Winston-Salem NC, '08 is FT. Morgan CO, and '09 is in Niagra Falls.Ont.Canada.
These conventions are social in nature. Which is different than a lot of educational seminars and conventions in this industry. At the H-Talk conventions there is a lot of partying and the non-HVAC attendees fit right in and have just as much fun.
It is not a complicated way that a site is picked for a convention. Someone just volunteers to have the convention in thier home town. This works out well because we get to see the little places in a city or town that tourist don't normally get to visit.
I know I would love to go to one in LA. Mmmmmmm...Cajun Food!!!!!!!!

I still think the HVAC-Talk convention should give Comfortech a try. We certainly can help promote it. The gang can come out the day or two BEFORE Ctech opens for all the social fun you like to have and then stick around for the educational and tradeshow events that Ctech offers. And oh yeah -- there's lots of partying too. Just ask Lusker, Benny, and Arpa!!!
The questions is -- can you guys handle all that????

If you invented all that, then put your money where you mouth is and have the HVAC-Talk Convention in conjunction with Comfortech. Then we'll SEE what you invented!!!

10-11-2006, 06:08 PM #13I can see your point, but the convention is about a gathering of friends in a relaxing atmosphere that is not associated with work. Perhaps the future will bring mini conventions (chapters) that are regionally hosted. Then you could have your BIG convention...Originally posted by the editor

So maybe we should be working together and agreeing on a Charter.
Next we should work on the HVAC-talk Creed...
I know that the Diceman can help with this...
