DAMN!! jared
I remember several years ago when subway was affordable and when they loaded meat on em. Since jared came on the seen he screwed it up for everyone. The combos goes from 7-9 bucks, used to be $4 n change. Everyone clapped their hands but I can't get a deal no more from anywhere and now starving. All the fast food joints are charging like its a reg resturaunt. Now this one chick lately said she lost weight eating only starbucks.. the sad thing is she probably could only aford a coffee in the morning cause they,re so dang expensive- so she starved. But you know they take that to heart and now I wouldn't be surprised if they jack up prices even more. I'm tired of all this inflation. I'm happy the heavy weights are loosing the weight but damn keep the secrets to your self. I can't gain weight because of this sh?t and I'll probably get a heart attack soon from all this dollar menu junk.

I worked in a subway 17 years ago as a youth, A BMT was $6.19 then. Even at $8 a footlong its cheaper than buying meat at the deli for $10 a pound

Micky D's and Buger King way over the top for their freeze dried junk food. Unfortunatly Subway is the best bet you actually get fresh food(right neiborhood) and it fills you up, and you can keep the mayo and cheese off of it and still have a decent meal.

Down here the lunch special (6", chips, drink) is still $4... and they give you a fair amount of meat and veggies.
Price inflation is a result of FED policy of pumping too many $$$'s into the money supply... When there are more $$$'s chasing the goods, the price goes up. Simple supply and demand.
If you do not like price inflation... then vote the idiots out of govt and get a new set... HOWEVER: There is a lag effect... so do not expect price inflation to slow down for a few years, regardless of who is in the govt.GA-HVAC-Tech

I figure if I'm gonna pay 7 or 8 bucks for fast food I might as well go to local places and eat. The food is better and is still 7 or 8 bucks or maybe a little more but the quality is sooooooo much better and I feel good about supporting small business and keeping it local

Sad to say even after we bring in the new political crew the majority of inflation will reduce slightly but never back to normal.

Its funny too, the more we buy of a certain product its seems to get more expensive.

I do agree jtrammel. I do it when I can afford it. I even patronize the cashiers where ever there are self check outs, people need jobs not robots or fancy machines.

Sit down meals are always better than rushed 'van' meals. I usually eat at the table in Subway if I can.
Personally, I like the fresh and raw veggies in a Subway. Age as moved my diet from heavy foods to healthy foods... and Subway seems to fill the bill.
I do like to go to an I-hop and eat an omlet or salad now and then though. Not too keen on Waffle Houses anymore, makes the gut hurt.GA-HVAC-Tech

Don't get ice at the subway though, as any of the ice machine guys on the forum could show you pics you'd never want to see...
