    Want some Krack????

Got lots here on this job......7 10 ton and 3 15 ton ICP RTU's. Owner was told not to buy them 8 years go and had nothing but probs. had to change all the HPCO', 3 blower motors, 6 cond fan motors and numerous contactors.Repaired all the condenser coils, leaked after 18 months, no waranty. He got them for half the price of the units we sell. Some are cracked worse than these. Filters and belts changed 2 times a year. Airflow was never an issue.

Once a person has sold themselves on the fact that they can get the same quality for less there is nothing you can do to change their perspective, they have to learn the hard way.

What is different about the motors in an ICP than other brands? Cracks in a gas pack HX after 8 years is the industry norm. Coil leaks certainly go back to the equipment manufacturer in most cases though.

Dunno why the motors failed. ICP was part of that heil and whoever buy out by Carrier. They said no way warranty after 13 months. 15 ton cond coil was 1,800.00 from them. The problem was that due to the Scroll compressors vibration the hot gas line would spring leads at the tube sheet. We struggled and cut the tube sheets and repaired with replacing damaged tube with 3/8 tubing. Today's tubing in the Cond is so thin if you stare at it long enough it will leak. We had to realign all the blower motor pulleys. They were eating the "B" belts
