Wye Oh Wye?
Went out for a maintenance inspection today and found the 1 year old furnace to be a 90,000 BTU in a house that needs 26,000. And found this little gem:

Great title to thread...made me laugh. Sometimes I wonder, based on these kind of installs, if people don't care or do they just not know any better?

They must have ran out of pipe also, 3 elbows in a row to offset 3".

...sigh...it's a goodman downflow too.
Looks like the flue main is undersized also. 4" + 3" = 4" I guess.
I hate to admit I've don't things like that on tight "renovations" (don't cut out drywall) with supplies, but never a flue!!!
The copper flex on the water heater, and the filter rack that looks like it doesn't catch anything are gems too.
"Better tell the sandman to stay away, because we're gonna be workin on this one all night."
"Dude, you need more than 2 wires to a condenser to run a 2 stage heatpump."
"Just get it done son."

The $64,000 question: What glue did they use???

That one is pretty good, all single wall pipe too, hope it is in a conditioned space...
The worst I've found was a kitchen exhaust hood wyed into a furnace vent pipe in an attic.

HAha yeah I had to laugh when I saw it. I shut the gas valve off when I left and told the home owner he can do whatever he wants after I leave. I don't mess around with exhaust. It looks like a 4x3x3 wye. The furnace is so oversized that it comes on for about 5 minutes then shuts off. The temp swings are completely wild...
