How to force a defrost on this domestic refrigerator

    Whirlpool Mod ET8WTEXMQO
    Ser ER1629120

I know how on older units, that have timer.
The new units have(correct me if I'm wrong) a PCB called adaptive defrost.

    Thanks,
    STUD

Turn the t-stat off for 15 seconds then on for 5 then off 15 then on 5 off 15 on 5 then off. That's what I read.

You have to turn thermostat on and off three times within 6 seconds. Not sure if it should normally be cycled off or on, when doing test.
