Houston is booming. I wouldn't raise a family any where else. People from all over America are moving here and they're bringing their money with them.

There is nothing worse than growing up in a land locked small town or raising kids there knowing they are going to be limited with opportunities once they've graduated.

Also, Dallas is just nasty. A small polluted dirty town filled with illegals and people with bad attitudes. 75% of all births at Parkland General were to illegals in 2010.

We hired a couple of techs fresh from Michigan and being that I am their supervisor I politely asked them to leave their inbred Union minded tendencies......in Michigan.

The heat is something you can acclimate to.
The folks moved to Houston in around 1955 or 56... I was pre-school. Grew up there (lived in West U, Spring Branch, then Spring Valley). Left in 1987.

I know the climate well, and remember a few hurricanes. Used to enjoy going down to Galveston and surf-fishing all day.

Yes, the climate will teach one a lot... kinda separates folks...

Me, I ma getting close to retirement and want a slower and gentler climate and place to live.

i've been an upstart ever since i was 17 years old.
even i have asked myself what the hell i was doing.
now i've seen where this country is going, and my motivation was i couldn't abandon my insight.

i'm going to be 40 soon.
like the mighty Roman soldier my service is almost over.

i used to think i was unlucky because i wasn't like other people knew who were talking about getting married at a young age.
time has passed, their relationships have turned to disasters.
...and i'm very thankful i didn't bring kids into Titanic of a country.

so now i have to ask myself , what do i have invested in this country?
    the answer is nothing.
why do i continue to make myself a target for pointing out the truth?

people say i complain for myself.
but the truth is i'm more concerned for the future of YOUR kids, then you are.

the Bible repeatedly says "they had eyes but they couldn't see" , "they had ears but they didn't hear" . it also says
    "the people's hearts were blinded"
i am now 100% convinced that what is happening in this country is super natural, and any effort otherwise is a waste of time.
i remember a time in this country when the public wasn't going to allow the government to get away with certain things, now all of the sudden EVERYBODY is rolling over to totalitarianism, and trying to justify it.

well due to subtle changes in business policy, i'm the one who is now the odd-man-out.
i went from being a free person who did what ever i wanted, to person that needs to take what ever job i can get.

i have no urge to be a business success in a corrupt country.

    i have ALWAYS been political.
my interest is rapidly changing from politics to religion.
i strongly advise all of you to spend some effort thinking about Christianity.
talk to someone who you LIKE who is religious
Great, this is like walking up to a couple of strangers at a Bar at 1am and yelling "THATS IT, IM GOING HOME"

no one really cares, But Have fun, seeya. Hell, just leaving Mexifornia would be a big improvement

I am kinda curious as to where he is going to go?

I think you can do anything you want in the Yukon? You can make your own laws up there, I doubt anyone would bother you.

He could buy his own Island in the Caribbean ??? Then Import some hooters girls.....oh wait, that what I want to do....never mind

Alberta fits in with the general mindset around here. Given it still is a part of Canada.

No town is crime free, unless you live on the sun, my guess is there is no crime there. Yes when you live among 4 million folks, you will have a few bad apples, but I would take Houston as a working man right now in this economy over anywhere, it's smoking here! if you cant make a good living here, you just have the entitlement attitude and don't want to work.

A loose generalization, doubt Wolfy could take the shock leaving California, who would he complain about?

O if he is from California he sure don't want to move to Texas, that would be like going from an Intel Core i7 to an Apple II E, the change would give him brain lash.
But business is brisk here in Houston. http://blog.chron.com/primeproperty/...ousing-market/
