Children of teachers on strike not affected by strike.
Just how can we trust teachers who don't trust the school system they teach in to teach their own children? Over 40% of the striking teachers in Chicago send their kids to private schools that don't have unionized teachers; In Philadelphia, 44 percent of the teachers put their children in private schools; in Cincinnati, 41 percent; Chicago, 39 percent; Rochester, N.Y., 38 percent. The same trends showed up in the San Francisco-Oakland area, where 34 percent of public school teachers chose private schools for their children; 33 percent in New York City and New Jersey suburbs; and 29 percent in Milwaukee and New Orleans. ...
Anti school-choice politicians are no less hypocritical: President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Jesse Jackson, Hillary Clinton and Al Gore (to name just a few) all send or sent their children to private schools.

Why would they want to send their own kids to a system that they know promotes incompetence. If a teacher does a bad job the unions response is always "give them another chance or help them be better". There is no accountability for them. Merit should be the only criteria for hiring anyone especially teachers. The whole teachers union is outrageous and its the kids that suffer the most from it. Not to mention the waste of tax dollars.

Come on, you don't really believe this is for the teachers or their unions, do you? This is for the kids!

And just think! All American workers get to pay for these greedy teachers who won't even let their own kids be taught by the likes of them.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cureEcclesiastes 10:2 NIV
