Well thanks to my coworker Sicofthis and Finally seeing his Tech LC, I just ordered my Veto LC(didn't go with the tech though)

No freekin' way you need to haul all that stuff around with you! I'd say you could handle 95% of all service calls with only 25% of that stuff! 7 adjustable wrenches and 7 pairs of channel-locks?! C'MON! LOL

I have used 1 pair of channel-locks for the last 15 years. There are two adjustables in my bag currently; a 12" and a 6".

Hha I had it completely stuffed at maybe 55lbs for a while, and it was heavy no joke. I honestly use it as my master pack that's always avaliable if something gives me a hard time. I stuff my little fieldpiece pack with enough to get started or find most problems. I've had it for about 2 years and its held up great. I work in reatuarants almost daily so I'm extremely concious on how I handle the bag and my tools, places are just gross and tools arnt cheap! The fact the bag conceals every tool, holds A LOT, gives you two hands to go up ladders, and a reasonable price, I dig it. At one point I put tiny master locks on all the zippers but that was to much. And you can never have to many of one tool in my opinion.

I can understand you traveling a bit heavy, then. Restaurant refrigeration and cooking equipment is difficult work due to space constraints and the way the manufacturers pack so much stuff into a tiny box. Sometimes, you just need the right tool for the job, because there's no room to make something else work.

I think you should give a Veto a try. It has a water and grease proof hard plastic bottom, and the zip up sides roll up and snap into place so you can keep them off the floor. They are also ingeniously designed as far as organization goes.

Veto makes the best bags in my opinion but for service I love my clc backpack, it gives you free hands to grab gauges and paperwork, not to mention it is a lifesaver for doing rooftops

I agree with you 100% I can tell ya how many times going into a restaurant, and literally have NOWHERE acceptable to put my bag. On this floor? I don't think so. It's terrible, and like you said the veto is well constructed and the base would work very well in my situation. I'm pretty sure this site introduced me to Veto. And I'm a guy who surfs the web till 3 in the morning on tools I want and new stuff coming out. So naturally I've gone through all the nice videos everything veto and they sold me pretty much. So I will get one, I just want a duplicate set of tools like I have in the CLC, I want both, full, of tools, toooollss

when I first came to this site everyone ranted and raved about Veto, I thought it was too big for my liking. I then worked with a guy that has one and saw how many tools he has in it and how nice it was that we didnt have to make constant trips to the truck for one tool. I found a supply house near me that has them (For you NJ guys, Sheaffer Supply in Dover) had it for 2 months now and I love it! Some techs I work with think its unnecessary but when you're working in a big house doing a coil or heat exchanger and need random tools you dont have in your little pouch, its great to have it right there and save trips to a truck.
