I think the latest is Inet 7.
I have been selling too long, my brain is mush....
The existing building with Inet 2000. Computer crashed and they bought new one with window 7.
I loaded their software and it would not work with window 7 (won't recognize the serial port).
The IT guy had to load the window XP platform inside this machine so that Inet 2000 will work.
He said "window XP will be obsoleted within 2 years and NO support".
I don't wanna buy a web server as the front end. Because I need to get into the system for service.
Is there a new version Inet 2000 to work with window 7?
Or is there anything I need to do with this window 7 so it will work with Inet 2000 ?
Is there any other DDC controller out there has this issue with window 7.
Thanks Crab master and any other inputs.

The latest version does work with Windows 7. The first releases didn't support Win 7 but now it does. I don't know of any issues with Inet under win 7. Could be wrong.

BTW, I think Crabmaster has his feet in the sand somewhere! He is quicker than this..LOL
I do I/Net as well.
The latest flavor of I/Net is Win7 compatible.

Not much of an INET guy, but you got your answers. Twisted Pair works with INET far more than I do.
See page 16 of link but "Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Professional (32-bit), Windows Vista Enterprise (32-bit), and Windows 7 Professional (32-bit)."
These are compatible according to TCON298, publish date 5/10.
BTW came across this link - don't know how good this product is http://www.webgensystems.com/media/wg_csidrv1103.pdf
You mentioned you don't want a web server, but a webserver that will allow for full access would solve this problem. The Xenta 527/731 was pretty close to full access last time I messed with it, but you couldn't access some of the PID parameters and a few other things from memory.
Also this isn't a 'DDC controller' issue as the controller isn't running 'Windows', this is a front end interface problem and they exist with many manufacturer's, thus most 'force' you to upgrade to make it compatible with the latest Windows product.

Thanks guys and gals.
I found it. It works. The latest version 2.4 something will even work with 64 bits. The upgrade software price is not bad. As long as you have the old serial #
So I am good.
Thanks again
