    Hussman CHR-5 Reach In Freezer

    I was wondering if anybody had any info on this old 5 glass door reach in as far as what the original defrost heater was like, including location. The current one looks like its only 2 passes and is just shoved in under the evaporator coil. Thanks for any replies.

    What is the problem you are having? Heater no good? I think it's the correct heater but I'm sure you can find it on their website.

    Drain pan heater isn't working and needs replacing. I always thought that the defrost heaters were located on the face of the evap coil, not underneath it.

    I've seen them under the coil as well.

    Hussmann did it and Hill Phoenix did it. Kysor/Warren, too, IIRC.
