Yeah
Looks like they are all selling out!
I thought so. That's all I was wondering. Then someone had to profile stalk me. All I have to say is: Anyone can be taught anything. That's what I meant by anyone can fix anything. You didn't know anything about HVAC until someone taught you. No one can sell, you either got it, or you don't. Dale Carnage...seriously? That's hilarious!!! I know guys with 40 years experience that still repair equipment that's older than them, because they don't know how to present or give customers options. I really don't want to argue this. I know what I can do, and don't need to prove it to anyone. I just was wondering if some inside info. I had was true or false. Thank you supertek65.
By the way, from what I understand, ARS is buying them. Does that mean sell S.E. and buy ARS???
Well said.
Kc
I profile stalked you because i live in kansas city.
I got a kick out of your profile and made the comment thinking i would get a good laugh out of you.
You are new here but this is a fun site!
Of course everybody in this entire industry must sell!
Good luck and be safe out there.

It all takes talent. PERIOD. The day I quit learning I the day I die. It dosen't matter what equipment I am working on, Comm. refer, resi, The size of the equipment is just the size of my ego. There are a lot of specialty fields which take a lot of special training that some may never have the opportunity to receive for whatever reason, that dosn't make them any less willing to do the best they know how to do. However there will always be shisters in every feild.
I worked out of the nashville location for 4 years. Just left this may. They announced to their employees today at 11:00 am that the company had been bought out. They didn't say buy whom but rumor is its ARS.
YEah = today and Lennox has been trying to dump them for about 4 years now. Finally got place lean enough for someone to buy them. I hope that ditch the Dallas management quickly.
You the man Supertek65, that was a great link you sent. I know you were messing with me, but it opened the door for people to accuse me of being dirty, which I am not. In my opinion, most people that are "dirty" is due to the fact that they don't know what they're doing, so they sell as a defensive tactic, which would make them ignorant, not dirty. The stuff I work on, I am very familiar with, so no need to be dirty. If I need help in the future, hopefully you'll be there for me.
its all good captain kangaroo!!!!!!!!!
true knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing.
I am surprised with the comments from a few of you here.
Firstly, to assume you can take a Dale Carnegie class and be an instant Sales Professional? Come on guys.
A good Sales Person takes care of not only the customer, but also the installer. NONE of us would have jobs in this industry if it was not for the Sales Person. Yes, none of them would have anything to sell if it was not for Installers--and the Tech would not have a job if it was not for both of them.
Sales people get a bad wrap--let's not forget they are not all evil, they are not all scammers. A good company hires a good Sales Person and trains them to be a pro. A great sales person will support a install team with 1mm sales per year.
Nextly, talk about a aquisition is fine and dandy, we are all interested--but show some compassion. Comments about firing the whole Texas team? Have a heart.
I personally know many in the Texas team and they are good people with families--I wish them the best and hope the company who buys them, whomever it is, takes them seriously as a entity and grows them to live up the their Service Excellence promise.
If you don't have anything good to say stick to the tech talk. I bet a lot of your fellow members here work for Service Experts.
At least show some humility.
Seriously. We are all here to earn a living.
I worked for them for 2 years. I spent the last year correcting inspection deficiencies from other guys' work. The business model of that company lends itself to scamming the customer with premature equipment replacement.
I still have several buddies working for them and the company hasn't told them about the sale yet....
Most of them are egos in clothing. They all think their way is the only way. I worked there for 10+ years and know the management team in Dallas. The honest leaders have been leaving, reopening new HVAC companies and remembering the standards and goals that their grandparents who started the companies used in order to honestly succeed in this industry. They were not supportive of the call center, the top down management style and mistreating both the customers nor the hardworking employees. Honestly and integrity was their method of running their individual companies, not a 10- 15% bottom line. I wonder how the cash flow will go now for Lennox since SEI was their cash cow.
Ugh.... Don't even talk about that Stupid call centre. That place is single handedly responsible for the local SE's loss of business. Especially after-hours!
Did the same person start One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning?
