Typo alert. t.p.s. were the reports that they did in the movie "office space" with the red stapler. lol
t.s.p. is tetra sodium phosphate commonly used for cleaning all sorts of things. Mechanics in my O.A. seem to like useing those kits for tankless water heaters as a first responder to the fouling of the hx coil.
Now give me back my red stapler!

Thats whats I use to clean coils (tankless pump) but somthing with a little more flow would be better IMO, and depending on water pipes (domestic or source) I will somtimes use just vinegar.

When I was running open loop, my lines clogged up severely after a few years. I had to use Muriatic Acid to clean them out.

The danger with muriatic acid is that it disolves alot of things. One of which was the solvent welds on schedule 40 pvc. I hope to never repeat that nightmare! When looking for a solution to fouling it is better to "wade into the pool" with the least caustic first, rather than " nuke it" right out of the gate. IMHO

Ice machine descaler works and no glue on any fittings. All fused or barbed and clamped!
