Question about charging semi hermetic fridge
This is my first post and i'm glad to be apart of this hvac forum, as a fresh out of school worker I still run into things I either have to retained or never caught on to. But i'm trying hard to learn everything. I'm a electrician by trade but thought in this economy two trades is better than 1 to keep me working.
Question. What should suction pressure be on a 38deg cooler running r22 in a chilled water system. ?
I have charged up semi hermetic before, and I always charged up based on sight glass and head pressure. Yesterday, I was charging a system and it dawned on me I dont know what the suction pressure should be. I know the reciever is there and will deter too much refrigerant from entering evap, but is there a way to tell what the suction should be?
