Thread: Water proof T-stat/T-stat cover?

Water proof T-stat/T-stat cover?
I have a sterling heater that sits directly above our wastewater garage.The T-stat is inside the unit and is sensing return air. Unfortunatly it is super humid in wastewater and it keeps ruining the T-stats, I am wondering if there is a such thing as a waterproof T-stat? I have never heard of one. The other thing I thought about is do they make a seal tight T-stat cover? The ones I found on Grainger all have breather holes. Understandably this is the worst design and location for a furnace but I have brought it to the attention of the folks who I need to make aware of these things
unfornately that is is far as it has gotten. Obviously I am still held accountable to make this thing operate. Any help would be great!

Line or low voltage.

If it is line voltage convert it to low voltage... Get a stat with a remote sensor and mount the stat someplace safe.
