When I read the title of the thread, I was expecting a pic of a bunch of RTU's with the P traps turned upside down so they don't leak on the roof.
Anyway, put out the tablecloth and have a picnic.

I would call that a new out door table. May need a brick to keep it from lifting off.

At least they thought about not getting debris in the unit. Most roofers wouldn't even care. But at least pull the disconnect. I like the table idea though!

That is a low ambient damper that is stuck shut. Call a repairman.

Did it stop them from dropping the old shingles on top of it?

They covered it up because it was making the roof hot.

Not a dime. Grabbed all my tools out of the van. Lifted the board off, and called it good.

I had a similar call, new h/o getting a new roof said a/c was working fine before roofers arrived. h/o swore he had a condenser at the side of the house where the mountain of shingles were. Roofer super had the guys dig it out and voila! there's the Ruud, it tripped the breaker=bypassed reset. Roofer super stepped up and had me do a complete pm with evap/cond coil wash.

I was house-sitting for a friend this summer, and the roofers were there while the owners were gone. Roofers covered up the the 22 year old lennox condenser on a 105 degree day and it kicked the breaker...

One a related note, I didnt find out it was covered by the roofers until I had called the friends service company for an indoor blower failure the next day. Apparently the owners of the service company were over enjoying the pool (since they're all friends) and noticed the cover. That was a fun 2 weeks...

With the lines on the original posted picture at least hopefully they were not using it as a saw table. That's what I thought of when I saw it besides what the other comments were on falling debris onto the unit.
