Now see! This is why leftists cannot be trusted. You stated you were done in a previous thread, and yet here you still are.....

While I would have liked to have seen a more conservative Republican go up against Obama, I have to admit that Romney will probably be a better healing president for all Americans. I personally don't want the president of the U.S. to be for or against any portion of the American people. What makes us so great is our diversity, and Romney is our best bet for restoring diversity after Obama's dividing us so badly ethnically, socially and politically.
One thing that should be pointed out is that if Obama does get reelected, by whatever means necessary, Joe Biden better keep his head down and hire a food tester. There is no way the Democrats are going to let Biden be their presidential nominee for 2016.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

My wife and I renewed our passports just about a year ago and I believe it cost us $65 apiece. Still, you should not have to have a passport to be able to show you are who you say you are in order to vote.
I am confused about something. Do all states not require voters to be registered? If you are registered, and you have shown ID to register, what is the problem with showing ID to vote under your registered name?Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

What kind of statistics are you looking for? Do you have any statistics proving that voter fraud does not occur or that the possibiltiy of voter fraud does not exist? Several posts have specific voter fraud incidences, so why are you babbling on about wanting statistics?
If having to prove you are who you say you are in order to cast a vote can prevent the voter fraud that has been shown to exist or voter fraud that is possible with so many dead Americans still registered, and it can, why would anyone not want this safeguard in place?
The argument against voters having to prove who they are is that certain American citizens may not be allowed to vote. If you can't prove you are an American citizen or that you are who you claim to be, are you really someone to be trusted? The law doesn't think so if a police officer asks you to show something identifying yourself. Just what kind of American really cannot show proof of who they are? And....is an American who is so out of the system really someone who is going to be responsible enough to do their civic duty to vote? If so, we need to get those Americans back into the system.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cure…Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV

Why has this suddenly become an issue? Has voter fraud increased since 2000/2004/2008? I contend this is a solution that is searching for a problem.
Politics pure and simple. The people proposing these laws are using this issue to draw attention away from the fact that they cannot or will not deal with more pressing issues.

When I registered to vote I did not have to show an ID to anyone. Just sent in a card but had to have a registered voter sponsor me...or be a reference.
Showing a photo ID when voting....... its always been hit or miss....... I probably know everyone behind the desks and working the booths at the voting station when I go vote and there are so few voters in my precinct that everyone pretty much knows or knows of everyone else.
I vote at the hood precinct..... didnt even see much of a crowd for bams first election... but I did see more black folks. Never seen a mexican vote and the only white folks I ever see voting are us older voters and the oldsters....or really old folks.
I think voter id laws in part are trying to discourage a lot of older folks from voting..... that gives the candidates an edge when it comes to cutting benefits from them.
If you look at the statistics you really are not going to find a voter fraud problem and when you do find voter fraud its usually not intentional...its someone making a mistake..... voting in the wrong precinct, not keeping their stuff up to date.... Id say there are some criminals who shouldnt be voting who try to vote.
I will agree that Romney.....the anybody but obama candidate is a good choice for a caretaker president.....as long as he keeps his hands off stuff and just rides out his 4-8 years without letting that pesky athiest ryan influence any policy.
I also believe that ryan is a liability to romney....he should have chosen a running mate who was a little more low key.
Of course... no matter who gets elected its going to be us working folks getting the shaft.....cause neither bams or molech is out to do a damn thing for us. Our taxes will continue to increase....there will be more charges and surtaxes and other stuff allowed to be placed on our bills as monthly charges.....gas gonna continue to rise.......prices gonna continue to increase.....and jobs going to continue to leave this country.
We would probably be better off electing reverend moons corpse as prez.....Let go of my cracker jacks, If you dont Im going to have to beat you....... now then hand my captain crunch back over to me this instant.....or else !!!

Done arguing with you.
I remember your claim about a brokered convention. Did not happen.
You just keep going on and on until someone just gives up discussing anything with you.
You consider that winning the debate but it is not.
Its simply that we all could actually care less what your opinion is. Anyone who reads enough of your posts knows you believe you are never wrong on any subject.
So really discussing anything with you is never going to accomplish anything as you only really love to hear yourself type.
Just like your brokered convention which did not happen Mitty is not going to win the election.
So you conservlicans needed to somehow find a way to make it close.
Voter suppression is their way of doing it and saying that you are all about cutting voter fraud is just a smoke screen to hide your real agenda.
Twist words, dodge, dance around anyway you want, but your true agenda is clear for all to see on this issue.
And professing othewise just hurts your credibility.

Yeah, voter ID suppresses voting like requiring a drivers license suppresses driving.
