I have a theory that most tradespersons are to some degree dislexic. I am. It seems that being able to think in pictures better than words allows us to "see" problems more clearly and readily.

If you were truly dislexic, you would be DDA rather than ADD.

This thread may be a good place to ask order of books (as in progression of a specific character):

In the Tom Clancy stories, we see Jack Ryan Jr emerge. He gets his education and goes to work for a 'non-existent' spy house in the first book, cracking a case mostly by analysis. In the second book, Jack Jr gets out into the field, along with his two twin cousins (one gets killed).

Question: Is there another book in this series out yet? If so, what is the title? THX in advance, GA.

I just liked the series. It was an interesting blend of science fiction, fantasy, and had good interaction between characters.

Have the Jack Ryan stories been hijacked by the film industry? There is the prequel Jack Ryan movie where Ryan is played by Ben Afleck. Was that a book first?

The only serial type of stories I read are all full length novels. I like following the Clive Custler recurring characters from NUMA and the Fargos and the mercenary ship team whose name eludes me.

An interesting author.

The Odd Thomas stories DO sound interesting and Odd himself seems to be an engaging character.

I haven't bought the entire series, yet, but I surely will.
