I have a theory that most tradespersons are to some degree dislexic. I am. It seems that being able to think in pictures better than words allows us to "see" problems more clearly and readily.
If you were truly dislexic, you would be DDA rather than ADD.
Did you hear about the dislexic guy who drowned at a crowded swimming pool because no one responded to his screams of "pleh...pleh!"?Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cureEcclesiastes 10:2 NIV

Roland, from the Gunslinger series by Stephen King and I think Dean Koontz. I havn't read a novel in years, and I really miss all the different charactors & worlds those books used to take me to.
Good thread.

How big of a fan are you?

I have #115 of 395 of the limited edition print of Michael Whelan's illustration for the dust jacket of one of the Gunslinger books I'd make you a deal on.
It is this one. http://www.glassonion.com/catalog/co...ROLAND&cat_id=If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

I thought up another type of read that some of you may have enjoyed in the 70's. How about any serial type books. I have at least 100 of "The Destroyer" series of books. Anyone out there read...
Stony Man
The Executioner (I have #1 somewhere in my book mess)
I know that there were a bunch of different titles. They were just quick reads that had much action in 2- 300 pages.

This thread may be a good place to ask order of books (as in progression of a specific character):
In the Tom Clancy stories, we see Jack Ryan Jr emerge. He gets his education and goes to work for a 'non-existent' spy house in the first book, cracking a case mostly by analysis. In the second book, Jack Jr gets out into the field, along with his two twin cousins (one gets killed).
Question: Is there another book in this series out yet? If so, what is the title? THX in advance, GA.GA-HVAC-Tech
Galatians 2:20-21; Colossians 1: 21-22 & 26-27; 3:1-4; Romans Ch's 5-6-7-8
2 Chronicles 7:14
Quality work at a fair price with excellent customer service.

I just liked the series. It was an interesting blend of science fiction, fantasy, and had good interaction between characters.

Have the Jack Ryan stories been hijacked by the film industry? There is the prequel Jack Ryan movie where Ryan is played by Ben Afleck. Was that a book first?
The only serial type of stories I read are all full length novels. I like following the Clive Custler recurring characters from NUMA and the Fargos and the mercenary ship team whose name eludes me.Government is a disease......masquerading as its own cureEcclesiastes 10:2 NIV

I'm digging into a Neil Gaiman story now. American Gods.
An interesting author.
The Odd Thomas stories DO sound interesting and Odd himself seems to be an engaging character.
I haven't bought the entire series, yet, but I surely will.
