sizzling coil

awhile back a guy reported a "sizzling" coil. Everybody that i read really blasted the guy. "No such hvac nomenclature".

Well, about a month ago I was working somewhere, I don't remember where, but their coil sounded like bacon frying. I immediately thought of the post. I was going to check the coil out but the person I was with drew me to something else.

We were not there for that system, I remember that, but I cannot remember where it was.

Does anybody remember where that thread was? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you georgehvac. That was the thread. I heard a coil sizzling and it sounded like bacon frying, on high!

I was with a dealer, I think. I don't remember. That's what it had to be, because when I am with a dealer, I have to follow his lead, after all, it's his show.

If it had been one of my customers, I would have been all over it. It's killing me I can't remember where it was.
