All this proves the USA is the greatest nation on earth. This week alone, 2 blowhards come to our country to trash talk. And we let them. Try that in their country. In venesula, chavis threw his main rival in prison. He has excaped and will do much damage to chavis leadership.
In Iran they would probably stone you for talking like these morons.
Oh yah, The forum used to trash talk was started by us and is funded by us. Imperialist indeed. If the superheat ain't right it ain't charged right.

Yes this proves we live in a great country. And it also proves the world thinks (and knows) Devil Boy is an idiot. Nobody has respect for that moron. And if the chimp gets his way then nobody will be able to say anything in this great country. Remember the Constitution?

I'd be interested in a link to that story about
Chavez putting his main political rival in prison.
Frankly I don't think he has that power under their
system of law. (Of course if they were tried and convicted of breaking some Venezuelan law, it's a stretch to say he was responsible when it was the prosecutors.) Actually the fatcats who own the newspapers, tv and radio stations down there are all vehemently opposed to his
populist stance and no one attempts to muzzle them.
At least that's what I have read from several accounts of people who has visited there.Pg. 324: "the powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences."

09-24-2006, 05:35 AM #7Technically the UN building is not part of the USA, just like any property that a foreign embassy is on is technically part of the their country. The same goes for our consulates abroad. So, not really on "our" turf...Originally posted by coolwhip

As far as the standing ovation, perhaps you are missing someting about how the rest of the world views the actions of the US in the last few years. Think long and hard about that last sentence, you might have an epiphany!! Probably not, but you should try it anyways.
And if you do have that supposed epiphany, you will probably begin to understand why some people (you call us liberals) are so outraged about what is going on.

You may sing a different tune when mohammad destroys something elso over here. In fact, it will probably be one of you west coast nuts that pushes the nuke button.

Humorous how you can dredge up every left wing time traveling and rehashed story such as the one on the voting machines and can't find the Google link to Hugo's dealing with his opposition.Originally posted by batdude

so Carmona "reportedly" antagonized the military,
according to your link, when as his first official
act he dissolved the legislature, the supreme court and the constitution? seems to me he antagonized a whole hell of a lot more people than that!http://www.narconews.com/threedays.html
actually, now that you mention it, this is an easy google entitled "the revolt of the spoiled brats" which gives background and a more complete telling of the story of the demonstrations, counter-demonstrations and riots. liberal media, my ass.
you have been fed a complete line of baloney and swallowed it whole, I am afraid.
and YOUR link doesn't say Chavez imprisoned the coup's military leader, only that he threatened to do so if the guy didn't quit illegally wearing his uniform. 30 days, no big deal even if it HAD actually happened.
(and one could hardly call the GAO, the nonpartisan congressional investigating agency, "leftwing" as you so cavalierly assert. they prefer such things as "evidence" and "fact" while you obviously prefer fantasy.)
