I've seen some discussion about contractors using ADP evap coils instead of matching the brand of the condenser. I'm in middle of quote process and one contractor quoted a Bryant 124AN036 with an ADP PTxx036 coil. Not sure what the xx should be, but are there any specs on these coils anywhere, like pressure drop vs CFM for instance that are available for other coils (Bryant, Carrier)? Or is there an equivalent Bryant/Carrier model? Contractor said it needed this coil to achieve 14 SEER.

Found them
Well, after some stumbling around, I was actually able to find the specs. Just for reference, I found them here

ADP makes a great coil. But I have seen with a couple of brands, that the matches that get high SEER do so at the expense of some humidity removal capability.
Dealers use 3rd party coils for a couple of reasons. 1 is availability. Some OEMs, and I've heard Carrier/Bryant is one of them, are behind on making indoor coils. 2 is SEER. Since these 3rd party coils are not actually tested but computer simulated, they sometimes get higher SEER rating than the factory coil. Do they deliver? We'll never know.

Interesting. Sounds ok, then. Humidity shouldn't be a problem for my area - I'm in SoCal.
