most 80% equipment use aluminized steel tubing, or pinch welded expanded plates for the heat exchanger, and it's bound to fail at some point.
most 90% equipment uses extruded stainless tubing for both the primary and the secondary heat exchangers...The TRUE highest cost system is the system not installed properly...

We'll it looks like I'm down to the following on the furnace side:
Amana AMH95 or AMVC95
Trane XL95 or XV95
Still not sold on aluminized steel though. Seems like stainless steel is the higher quality design. But they both have lifetime on the heat exchanger so perhaps it doesn't matter.
